World Photography Day 2026 | The Photography Book Salon
On Wednesday, August 19, we were excited to host a special photobook salon in celebration of World Photography Day!
The event brought together three leading voices from our photobook community: photobook collector Stephen Goldblatt of PhotobookFinds, publisher Nora Lalle of Pamplemousse Magazine, and artist Demondre Ward, alongside fellow book lovers and photography enthusiasts. Moderated by our Gallery Coordinator, Lucien Liu, the salon-style discussion explored the question: “What does photography preserve that nothing else can?”
Publications have always played an important role in the world of photography, and photobooks hold a special place in our Bay Area photography community. Many of us have found inspiration in the pages of great photobooks, shaping how we see, think, and create.
