On Saturday, November 15, 2025 we collaborated with San Francisco–based artist Dave Herring, for a special Fall PhotoWalk & PhotoSlam.

The day kicked off at Leica Store San Francisco where participants received a series of creative categories to inspire their photographic adventure. They ventured out into the city to capture their interpretations, then return to share their images during the lively PhotoSlam!
• What is a PhotoWalk?
Photographers gather together and explore and photograph through a predetermined route in San Francisco. For our photowalk we created a few photo categories to push photographers creativity and challenge them to find fresh compositions even if they’ve walked this route before. A PhotoWalk is for anyone with a camera (including your phone) no matter the brand or style you shoot.

All were welcomed! From seasoned photographers or those who just love exploring with a camera, this event was a fun and inspiring way to connect, create, and see San Francisco anew for both film and and digital photographers.

The PhotoWalk Begins!

Many photographers have heard of or been to a Photowalk but what about the Photoslam?
Enter the PhotoSlam!
• What is a PhotoSlam?
Inspired by poetry slams, where the focus isn’t on perfection but on expression, a photo slam is a high-energy event where photographers submitted an image from the photo walk to stand side-by-side with another photographer and let the crowd determine which one speaks the loudest. It’s not a competition – it’s all in good fun to build community, acknowledge our community of artists, and grow together.

After the walk, we gathered at Harlan Records right behind the Leica Store for the PhotoSlam! Photographers raced to to pick their best image from the walk to submit to be displayed for the Slam. Dave MC’ed the entire event while Will and his team worked hard on serving drinks to all the patrons and participants.
Huge thank you again to Dave Herring and Will and his team from Harlan Records for collaborating with us for one of our most unique photowalks!
