Amir Aziz
“My name is Amir Aziz, and I’m a Photojournalist born and based in Oakland, California. Over the past 10 years, I have been capturing narratives of Oakland’s diminishing Black community and its resilient spirit. Through my photography, I have also had the privilege of traveling abroad for documentary projects and assignments, immersing myself in diverse cultures while drawing connections to my own experiences at home.
When I’m traveling, my go-to camera is the Leica Q2 – Daniel Craig x Greg Williams. Using the Q2 makes me feel deeply immersed in the scenes I photograph, as if it becomes an extension of my own sight. It’s hard to put into words. The intuitive nature of Leica cameras truly allows my vision to be met with by a camera made from a deep legacy for visual communication.
With my photography, my ultimate goal is to document the past, present, and future of Oakland, showcasing our dynamic, resilient, and creative community to the world. Simultaneously, I aim to introduce the world to us, fostering connections and understanding between cultures around the globe.”

Samantha Schubert
“My name is Samantha Schubert, and I am a fine art photographer based in the Bay Area. I dedicate most of my craft to black and white photography, as I am deeply drawn to its timeless feel, which aligns with my current artistic vision. This is why the Q2 Monochrom has become my ultimate tool for photography. Its portability, user-friendly design, and performance serve as vital conduits connecting me with the subjects I record.
Through my photography, I explore the intricacies of everyday life. I observe the interplay between people and their surroundings, while also seeking to capture the small in between moments that might be overlooked. Whether it’s the warmth of the sunlight through a window, a fly suspended in space, or the wanderings of the creatures in the neighborhood, these details seamlessly become an integral part of my experiences. It is my trusted Q2M that serves as both witness and recorder, faithfully preserving these beautiful moments.“

Patrick Stevens
“My name is Patrick Stevens, I’m a street photographer living in San Francisco, CA. I prefer to shoot solely in black and white, as I enjoy the consistent ascetic and timeless feel that Monochrom photography provides. My daily carry camera that never leaves my side is the Q2M. The simplistic form, intuitive function, and robust craftsmanship of the Q system continues to inspire my creative process.
Through my photography, I aim to explore the complex relationships between people and the urban environment. Ultimately, my goal is to create candid images that engage, provoke and offer a unique perspective on the world around us. I have immense respect for the rich history of Leica and for the legendary photographers the paved the way with in the documentary and street photography genres. I bought my first camera, other than my iPhone at the end of 2018, which was a Leica QP. Im unsure where my journey in photography will take me, but wherever it does, I’m excited to document the experience.”
