Produced from 1961 to 1995, this compact low aperture lens was a staple for any photographer’s arsenal interested in low light photography. For just over 30 years, it was hailed as the world’s fastest wide angle lens with the ability to create stunning images with Leica’s dream-like signature at f1.4. Many photographers appreciate its compact size and it made the perfect one camera one lens combination to suit many occasions. The 35mm Summilux Steel Rim came in two versions; with goggles (for the Leica M3) and without goggles (for the Leica M2).
